The Magic of Chocolate
Seriously, there’s nothing else like it on earth. It grows on trees, contains the only vegetable oil that’s solid at room temperature, contains more antioxidants than anything else that grows on the planet. How is that possible? How does it all work? Brian Pelletier, owner of Kakao Chocolate, will lead us through the steps involved in getting chocolate from a tree in the tropics to your plate (and of course provide samples!).
Please email Charlie Hall at chall@ifpc.com for any questions regarding this event.
We will also have the University of Missouri Food Science Association Annual Smoked Turkey Fundraiser at $30 per turkey. Please email mufsa@missouri.edu for more information. The turkeys are fully cooked with reheating instructions attached, and size range from 15-25 lbs and can be ordered frozen or fresh. Orders accepted now until Friday, November 8th.
